Seven Illawarra Cycle Club Juniors represented the Club in the Tamworth Junior Tour this weekend (12-13 June 2010).

The tour was a Four Stage event with two road races on Saturday followed by an individual time trial and final road race on Sunday. The hilly terrain permitted a King/Queen of the Mountain competition to be included in the three road race stages.

Almost perfect winter conditions greeted the competitors for the Stage 1 Road Race, however the hills took the zip out of the ICC sprinters. Bradley Heffernan (JW15) initiated a solo breakaway but was caught by the bunch.
